Western Gateway Park is supported by an annual parcel fee, paid by district property owners, of $12.94. Yes, that is only $12.94 per year, per property. Low value properties are not included. The number varies each year but there are about 8300 properties that are taxed this $12.94. The second source of income for the park is reservations. When you reserve the Buttermaker's Cottage, the Peirce Stage Pavilion, the Amphitheatre or any of the picnic areas, the monies are used for the operations and maintenance of the park.
