Western Gateway Recreation & Park District is a state special district public park. The park was first opened in 1976 and has been serving the community and it's families for five decades.


















Enjoy 88 acres of park areas that include vast lawns dotted with shade trees, two playgrounds, basketball courts, pickleball courts, four ballfields, Bocce ball courts, a 3500 square foot stage pavilion, dog park, covered picnic areas, creekside picnic areas, a disc golf course, walking trails, bike path and a 900+ square foot cottage. There is also a Farmers' Market that begins in May. The park is dissected by Squirrel Creek, along which there is a walking path to enjoy nature and swim holes to cool off in the summer. The park is also home to many native plants and wildlife.
Western Gateway Park is a great place to bring your family for a day of fun, to celebrate birthdays, have bridal and baby showers, hold celebrations of life, celebrate weddings and anniversaries, or gather for a reunion.
Western Gateway Park is a perfect place to walk your dog! In the main park area, please keep your dog on a leash. In the dog park, your dog can be leash free.
Drop off your CA redeemable recyclables in Thursday; the trailer is parked behind the main restrooms.
